After fifteen years of using outdated AV equipment, Sarah Eaton and her coworker, Mia Baumgarten, faced the urgent need to upgrade their system during the COVID-19 pandemic. With help from Kevin Shanley of East West Associates, they replaced the old setup with PTZOptics cameras integrated with a vMix video switching system, streamlining their operations.
This upgrade allowed Orleans Town Hall to record and live stream all regulatory meetings, boards, and committees to the public via local television (Channel 18) and online, with on-demand access through their website. The new system was vital for maintaining civic engagement during the pandemic and continues to enhance accessibility for residents, demonstrating the significant impact of modern AV solutions in government.
